PF MycoTEK™ Substrate Jars
Usually ships within 3 Business Days – We make all PF Tek Jars to order to offer our clients the freshest product possible! We do not make them ahead of time like most producers.

***The MycoMash™ is incorporated into the mixture prior to pressure cooking your jars, you don't get a bag of MycoMash™ nor do you have to mix it once you receive the item!

PF MycoTEK™ Substrate Jars also known as PF Tek, BRF Tek or Brown Rice Flour Jars have been a staple in the mushroom growers pantry for around 2 decades now. Our PF MycoTEK™ jars are just like our PF Tek Jars, except, we've added our proprietary blend MycoMash™ Mushroom Bulker to the mix! You will get higher yields with our MycoMash™ added to the PF Tek jars than you would without.

We use Ball canning jars. Each one of our jars has two pre-drilled holes in the lid and a top dry layer of vermiculite to add a dry filter between the lid and the substrate to help fight against contaminates. All independent test samples reported to have shown to start colonizing between 4-7 days after injection with spore syringe at incubation temperatures of 78°F – 80°F. All jars are topped off with aluminum foil to help stop contaminants from getting into the 2 inoculation holes in the lid.

Our MycoMash™ Mushroom Bulking Additive, is the first 100% natural mushroom bulking additive on the market. In fact, it's the only one! When added to your PF Tek or Grain Spawn Jars it can increase yields in PF Tek Jars by 50-100% and increase colonization in grain spawn by up to 3 weeks!

Colonizing Tips:
Be sure to colonize follow all sterilization methods when inoculating these jars. Remember, these jars are the perfect environment for fungal spores, mold spores, to colonize. Green house mold is most prevalent and 1 Billion mold spores can fit on the tip of a pen. So, when you think you're safe, you're not. Each pack of PF Tek Substrate Jars will come with instructions outlining multiple methods to inoculate and safety tips for sterilization. If you follow our step by step process, you will have 100% success. If you miss 1 step, we cannot guarantee success. Remember, these should be done in lab quality shipping standards for cleanliness. Don't be surprised if you fail your first few times. This is the growing pangs of learning to grow your own mushrooms. It's 100% going to happen, so get over it now. You might have 1 good jar, you might have 8, but at some point you will get contamination! I've been growing mushrooms for years now and still get contamination once in a while.
