Snaggletooth Shark Tooth - Hemipristis serra - Grey Lightning - Velvet Rag Paper, Digital Art Print for Home Decor - 14 shipping x 24
This 14" x 24" digital print on Velvet Rag Art Paper.
This 14" x 24" digital print on Velvet Rag Art Paper is a single Hemipristis serra shark tooth. This Snaggletooth shark tooth was found in the Hawthorne formation in North Central Florida and is between 5 - 18 Million years old from the Miocene epoch.
These prints come unframed and I recommend no glass or non-glare glass when framing. I have avoided using a glossy coating and it contrasts nicely with the deep black background.
This extinct shark species had a wide ranging habitat and its teeth can be found in deposits that range from the Miocene to Pliocene. Or approximately 23 million years old to 3 million years old.
I hope you enjoy these teeth as much as I have. As creative expressions these shark teeth exist as miniature compositions with milky colors of translucent blue, transparent flourishes of green or yellow. The processes that create these magnificent little bursts of color and contrast are random and in flux. The combination of various hues and form within are endless, yet oftentimes specific visual styles can be instantly recognized and traced back to a specific geographic location.
Simply put they are objects of art and as such can be appreciated on your wall !
This print is digitally signed.
Thanks,
Brett
A note about the LexJet Sunset Velvet Rag Paper:
The paper I use exclusively has a textured "watercolor paper" feel. Very thick paper with a subtle "aged" yellow hue. Ideal for sketches, paintings and digital art. shipping Prints will arrive with a 1/4" unprinted border embedded. The paper is a 315g weight (20mil thickness) and boasts a 100% cotton rag base, with a velvet (or etching like) surface. This paper is designed to meet the highest printing standards needed for museum quality, limited edition prints.
