These handwoven Cotton Towels become more absorbent with every use! Beautiful colours that are easy care. ALL of my weavings are ready to use.
Great drape and a medium weight cloth that can be used in the kitchen for dishes or hands, in the bathroom for face or hands, or in a bread basket or as a table center...or a wall hanging :)
Great to use at home or makes a wonderful gift for pretty much anyone!
All towels and napkins are finished by fully washing in warm water with regular agitation for a full cycle in a top-load washing machine then in regular heat dryer till almost dry (to make pressing easier) and then hard pressed with lots of steam so they are ready to use. It takes a few washings for best absorbency. Machine on delicate wash and hang or dry in your dryer (don't overdry) to maintain dimensions. Hot water not suggested. Press if desired for a crisper look.
Dimensions approximately 20x30 inches.

Making your every day more beautiful one piece/peace at a time.
All of my towels are hand woven by me in small lots with a handsewn hem unless otherwise indicated.
Wash and machine dry if you like - only wash when needed to keep your towel looking fresh. Of course, don't use bleach :). They will last for many many years if treated with care. Press whenever you like :)
Thank you for choosing my handwoven textiles for your home...and your life :)
Some people use these towels for hand towels either in the kitchen or bathroom - they can also be used as table toppers with a lovely basket or fruit or rolls....you'll need another one for the basket...and then one for the kitchen!
Each towel has been woven by me on a floor loom in my climate-controlled, must-free, odor-free studio. Usually I'm listening to nature sounds or chanting or uplifting music when I weave...and I truly believe it makes a difference! Soothing to the hands - and soothing to the heart :)
All sizes are approximate since everything - weaving, measuring, hemming, cutting and sewing are all done by hand...thus giving you a very unique handwoven textile. Yet feel free to buy more than one as the sizes will be close to one another - just not exact.
Once you have tried handwoven textiles there's no going back....you will be spoiled for life! But shipping it's not a bad spoiling...it's a true appreciation for hand crafted items. Textiles are used by each and every human every day of their lives...that's pretty important for something so humble as a textile!
From the moment we are born...until the end, we are wrapped in textiles (ok not when we are taking a bath)....they are an integral part of the human experience! So why not rejoice in how connected we are to textiles and have the most beautiful textiles we can to surround us! Whether as a handwoven shawl - or a handwoven blanket or a handwoven scarf - we can surround ourselves with warmth and beauty. And towels ....we use them everyday ....and sometimes many many times a day! ...so why not bring some of that beauty into your every day. They are made at least as sturdy and durable as any machine-made product. Yet there is much more LIFE in something made by human hands....and used by human hands. In my life - including my work life as an artisan - I try to bring mindfulness into the practice of even the simplest of tasks. Being conscious in every act I do is what I aspire to. Whether sewing a hem - doing the dishes - setting a table - no matter what we do in our life...we can be mindful in our every action ....and in our purchasing. By supporting local artisans you are also continuing traditions passed down from our ancestors....that have been improved in some way by each generation. And our communities are much richer when we have artisans that are able to handcraft and support themselves.
Thank you so much for supporting artisan hand-crafters like myself continue to make beautiful items for YOUR everyday life. :)
