Shipping Vintage Green Tourmaline 925 Engraved Teardrop Earrings

These vintage earrings are exquisite. Aquitaine Arts loves that they are obviously handmade: check out the way the negative space has been cut out and the engraved lines…symmetrical…and yet not….The artisan's cutouts and lines give the simple teardrops such a feeling of motion and intricacy! The earrings are slightly convex, which lends dimension to the whole.

The luminous shipping gemstone cabochons - such a pretty pale green - are 3/16” or 5mm and test as green tourmaline with a Presidium Gem Tester.

Newly cleaned and polished, these sterling silver earrings with French ear wires have a drop length of 1 1/8” / 29mm x 5/8” / 17mm. There are light surface scratches and a couple of stubborn spots of tarnish on the back. The earrings have been confirmed as solid sterling (stamped “925” on the back) and NOT sterling-plated, thanks to a heavy magnet test.

The earrings are light, weighing only .07 oz / 1.9g apiece.
