Vintage PYREX shipping OVENWARE Bowl w/Lid - Sculpted 'THUMBPRINT' design - Beautiful Piece - circa 1970s

Wonderful vintage piece of Pyrex Ovenware, this casserole dish/serving bowl/salad server is truly versatile! In perfect vintage condition, both bowl and lid, there are a couple of small utensil scratches at the bottom of the bowl that could easily be buffed out, also the lid has some minor scratches that are very light. Otherwise it's in basically like new condition, no knicks or chips in the glass on either piece and no yellowing of the glass.

This is a 2.5 quart bowl that measures 8.75" across and is 3.5" tall, it is commonly known as a sculpted bowl with the design called 'Thumbprint' or sometimes 'Teardrop' (there is also a Pyrex bowl made in a teardrop shape to which the actal design name belongs). It is part of the Pyrex/Corningware "Clear Elegance (TM) Ovenware" line, there was also a line of sculpted pieces made during the same time known as Pyrex "Servables (TM) Ovenware". The bottom of this piece is marked PYREX (R) OVENWARE - 35, likely pattern or model number. It's a great piece for any Pyrex collector or if you just want a wonderful oven to table to fridge casserole dish!
