Gorgeous Estate Sale find made for Kaufmann's ( Department Store ) Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by Czecho Slovakia, ca. mid to late 1920's.
The three-piece golden colored lusterware china set - delicately outlined in black - includes:
Lidded Teapot . . . holds 3 cups, measures 3 1/4" high x 8 3/4" wide ( shipping end of spout to end of handle ).
Creamer . . . white Opalescent interior, single handle measures 1 1/2" high with a 3 1/2" diameter opening.
Sugar Bowl ( no lid ) . . . double handle measures 1 3/8" high with a 3 1/2" top diameter.
All pieces are stamped appropriately, appear unused, and in excellent antique condition.
These are from an era when the department store was owned by the Kaufmann Family and when travels and purchases from Europe were exclusively designed for high-end stores.
