The Owl and the Pussy-cat shipping raku sculpture | Edward Lear poem | cute ceramic pea-green boat for playtime adventures

The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea in a beautiful pea-green boat. So begins the wonderful poem by Edward Lear, and here they are! Although in the poem, they took some honey, I have made them a little flask of tea as that's what I would like to take myself! Or maybe it could contain honey, if you prefer :-)

Their boat is 1.5cm tall by 9.5cm long. The Owl is 2cm tall, and the Pussy-cat is 2.7cm tall. They're all made of stoneware, fired once, glazed, and then raku fired with natural wood shavings for the amazing effects of smoke and flame.

Through my shipping work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, gentleness, and spirit to the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with only natural materials.
