The damaru is an hourglass shaped clapper drum. The drum is waved so the strikers hit both sides of the drum. The stickers are typically beads fastened to the ends of leather cords around the centre of the damaru. The drum is typically wood or metal with leather drum ends. The damaru is used in Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism.
This beautiful drum is made of carved wood.
The drum ends are approx. 4 inches diameter. Stands 3.5 inches high.
